This will be a contract position with the expected contract term to be from date of hire until 11/10/23.
This contract position will be working 40 hours per week with a Monday through Friday Schedule.
Job duties will include customer service, handling phone calls, operation and balancing of a cash drawer, computer operation, and office tasks of filing, recordkeeping, processing court papers, collecting property tax payments, and assisting with other transactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient written and verbal communication, planning, prioritizing, and proofreading skills.
Organizational and time management skills to accommodate changing workload to complete multiple priorities.
Past customer service experience.
Experienced in cash handling.
Must be a self-motivator, have the initiative to work independently, deal with confidential information, and handle pressure/deadlines easily.
Must have great interpersonal skills to maintain a good working relationship with managers and co-workers.
Job requires ability to sit, stand, and lift boxes or other items over 5 pounds on occasion.
Proven experience as a front office or data entry clerk, moderate to fast typing skills, excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, others), working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices, basic understanding of databases.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of Open Records Request processes and the KY Department of Libraries and Archives record retention schedules a plus.
High School Diploma minimum education required.
Salary & Benefits Compensation based on experience.
1-3 years' experience preferred.
